L’Hostky hosted themed parties at the Mudd Club throughout the late ‘70s; a writer, filmmaker, and, actress, she developed a collage-based art practice culminating in this work. Found text from vintage pulp novels, newspaper articles, poetry, an autopsy report, and a chess script, are positioned alongside found pin-up and sexploitation photos, rendering a remarkable document of No Wave New York. Works in this book include Patty Hearst in Her Cell, Hologram, B-Movie, and Dinasour Sisters - brief passages grappling with L’Hotsky’s interpretations of life, sex, and womanhood.
